Fantasy F1: Bahrain Result

Fantastic racing throughout the field with no quarter given by any racer out there, least of all team mates. Formula 1 fans were the winners today. Maldonado on the other hand - showing us why most fantasy team managers steer well clear.

Fantasy F1: Malaysian Result

Some fine racing throughout the field but not without the odd team order controversy in the guise of the Martini Williams team. Really bad luck for Ricciardo and Raikkonen with a botched pit stop for Daniel and a sliced tire for Kimi. Great racing by Hamilton, Rosberg and Vettel who round out the podium. Red Bull are looking close to Mercedes and it will be interesting to see if the German automotive manufacturer will be able to keep ahead of the drinks company throughout the season.

Ricciardo disqualified

Sadly Daniel's hard work has been undone and Red Bull have been excluded from the Australian GP. As a result the scores have been updated.

Fantasy F1: Australian Result

What a race?! Interesting throughout and if you haven't managed to see it yet you might want to avoid looking at the league table. Some great drives through the field and great drives from many of the new faces of F1.

Race report to follow...

Fantasy F1 season starts

As the first points are calculated and added to the game the fantasy F1 season officially begins. With mixed weather and massive rule changes the qualifying was always going to be interesting. Sadly Lotus look in as much trouble as we were expecting but thankfully Mercedes don't look quite as dominant as first thought although only the race will reveal the true pace of the cars around them.

F1 engine price reductions

We have reduced the fantasy F1 engine prices for both Renault and Ferrari based on performances during the preseason.

We apologize in advance for making your team selection all the more tricky.

Mercedes 1-2 in FP2. 24 Hours to go for F1...

Less than 24 hours to go on the fantasy F1 first session and Mercedes are looking strong. Hamilton just edging Rosberg for single lap pace but things looking strong for Nico on the long runs.

Williams quietly confident although their pace doesn't quite match what we were expecting given how they were performing in pre-season. From the pit wall it sounds like they have more to give us yet.

Vettel looking much quicker than had been previously thought so don't write Red Bull off just yet.

Lotus really look like they are struggling and it would be a surprise if either car finish the race on Sunday.

Fantasy F1 team budget

We have now corrected any Formula 1 team that has been found to be over budget so we have a level playing field at the start of the season. Some price reductions will be occurring later on today so keep an eye open for any bargains.

New kids on the block

- Marcus Ericsson Marcus is fast, at times unbelievably fast but unfortunately that is teamed with a little impatience which saw him retire from many a race in the 2013 GP2 season. The 2014 rules may help him shine even in F1's "new" team league.

- Kevin Magnussen he is the 2013 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion and will be driving a McLaren. Expect speed but his inexperience could cost him on circuits he has yet to visit.

- Daniil Kvyat he was runner-up at the 2012 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, and is the reigning GP3 Series champion. It is hard to tell how competitive he will be in Toro Rosso but if they give him the goods he might be one to watch. He has been consistently at the top for the past few seasons and there is no reason to doubt his talent.

The preseason practice story so far

Preseason practice is a funny old business and that is shown no better than in F1. Many a team have gone into the start of the season thinking they have the best car out there only to find that everyone else was sand bagging! However it is always nice to know where the teams are currently ranking.

Top five so far reads - Mercedes, McLaren, Force India, Williams and Ferrari.

It is all about Mercedes power with four of the top five teams being powered by the German marque.
